Whoever it is, more than likely a reviewer/retailer/manufacturer who can get hold of a copy either digitally or physically will have been the ones who stole the code and formatted it for distribution. This is firmly in the third party responsibility. I guarantee that they take their security very seriously and do everything they can not to let it out there early. It's no good saying Nintendo must be drunk or incompetent, they aren't the issue.

They'll keep making good games, but they'll also keep ruining the hype by not doing things properly.

If they make the same mistakes again with 3D World, I honestly don't know what to think of Nintendo anymore. I don't have much respect for leakers who easily get away with doing something illegal, but I hate when Nintendo decides to target the wrong people. This is an example of how Nintendo's security has truly failed its fans. Why target people who did things legally by region and not target those who leak gameplay footage illegally, almost an entire week early? Even if it was a review copy, it'd be breaking the NDA.īut more importantly, Nintendo copyright struck YouTubers who LEGALLY streamed the game in Australia, NOT the people who leaked early gameplay footage. Spoilery thumbnails and entire gameplay videos stemming from LEAKED gameplay, not a reviewer copy. Out of respect for the "content creators" I won't mention their names, but I'm sure everyone knows who I'm talking about. The last time this happened was slight more than only 2 months ago with Age of Calamity, and let me tell you, Nintendo was either drunk or dumb. Well-known Nintendo dataminer OatmealDome has shared some additional information about the development side of the game, based on this latest leak: We can't imagine Nintendo will be too happy about this, considering how secretive it has been about the new add-on. The same thread on ResetEra confirms "retail copies were dumped" which explains why streams are already popping up online. We had a look over on Twitch, and sure enough - certain individuals are already streaming the Bowser's Fury add-on. "People are streaming it and soundtracks are being uploaded, heads up." While it is not entirely clear at this point how it all started, a thread over on ResetEra reveals the game is now being "streamed" and soundtracks from the Switch game are also being "uploaded" in response to just "one" slip up. On top of that, it's also been leaked online! Oh no, according to certain parts of the internet, the street date for Nintendo's upcoming Switch release Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury has been broken one week out from the game's official release.
